My Coaching Philosophy
My approach to coaching is built around one simple idea: every runner is different. That means your training plan should fit you. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all plans and instead, I take the time to understand your goals, schedule, and experience so we can build a plan that makes sense.
More than just the workouts, training with me is about accountability, education, and connection. I’ve found these to be the biggest gaps for runners today — and I’ve felt that same frustration in my own training when they were missing. Every run has a purpose, and I’ll make sure you always know exactly why you’re doing what you’re doing. I’ll be there to check in, make adjustments, and keep you motivated along the way. My goal is to help you become a stronger, more confident runner.
Feel free to schedule a call or send me a message if you're interested in training together!
The VDOT Platform
I use the VDOT platform with athletes to build personalized training plans, track progress, and get you ready for race day. All your workouts, paces, and training zones are displayed in the app, so everything you need is in one place.
Your VDOT score shows your current running fitness and will increase as you improve. If you are curious, enter a recent race time and the calculator will show you your projected race times. I've found the VDOT scores to be a reliable indicator of where my clients should start their training so we'll if you've ran a race within the last few months, we'll use that as your baseline and build from there!
